The Kid Who Wasn’t Listening

When I was five years old, I had a question that adults couldn’t seem to answer.

“How come the people in the South Pole aren’t upside down?”

I wasn’t trying to be difficult. I genuinely wanted to understand.

Adult: “Okay, so there is gravity, etc.”

Me: But how come they don’t know they are upside down?
